just wondering if anyone has any experience with timber citizen 200 watt 2ts unit. Loving my cree fixture from them and was wondering if the 200 watt citizen is comparable to the 200 watt cree.

I don't have Timber, but I do have both Cree 3590 Tasty fixtures and more recently grabbed a 200w Citizen 1212/90cri (custom) fixture. After a few runs I'm not seeing any difference in production or quality of the light, the Citi COBs seem legit. I also recently replaced all my blurple veg lights with single COB Citizen 1212 fixtures and very happy with their performance as well.

The only people I've seen talk down about Citizen COBs are the number chasers. Ya know, usually the ones who are more worried about a dollar in electricity than what they pay for nutes, seeds, soil, etc.

Willing to bet you get the same results from either choice.

Sweet if you don't mind me asking what model # is the 200 watt citizen from tasty and what was the cost? Every time I'm on there webpage it doesn't seem to show all the fixtures. The timber is $359 us plus shipping and duty

Yeah, not finding any noticeable difference in performance at all between the Cit's and Cree's myself. only difference I've seen after a few runs is the Citi 90cri COBs seem to be finishing some plants faster, not a horrible "issue" ;)

Hey, the 200w Citi fixture was custom built by a member here, will PM some info on that. Tasty doesn't seem to sell the Citi COBs, but they do have Vero29 V7 and all their fixtures run mean well drivers, most are dimmable. Only one I saw on their site was a 190w Vero fixture for $360, also noticed they're now selling DIY kits, that route might be a little cheaper.

I think you're fine with any of these brand/fixtures as long as they're running Meanwell drivers, and either Citizen 1212 or 1818, Vero29 V7+, or Cree 3590 COBs. The only real difference after that is the fixture configuration (e.g. bar format or traditional square fixture).

Just got it a week ago,and so far really loving it,I'am replacing all my hps with the Samsung, made the order last week.
Very nice, they look great, haven't gotten into them yet as most of what I have in COBs is doing just fine and figure I should get some use out of them - lol My only concern with Samsung strips would be them being too cold in my room through winters!

The 3rd unit (white) has the citizen cobs in it,and it's been giving me excellent results as well.
Yeah I've been impressed with the 200w Citi fixture I put in a few rounds back. For DIY builds the Citizen can save a few bucks and performance seems to be on par or better than Cree 3590's.
