at what time and what part of a female plant do you clone? I have a small plant that is flowering. Do i just cut the stem of a leaf at the top or bottom. I have rooting gel and a mini greenhouse ready to go!
also i do not want it to effect my buds

First What happen to the leaves on your plant?

Ya can clone any time you get a branch that is 3 inches long or so. Ya cut the whole branch not the leaf.

he cut the leaves because it allows more light to get to the bottom leaves and less needed for the top, the eventually die off and new ones grow, but it's not necessary to do it..

Your female's largest stems should have 4 or more nodes, from the top of your plant, about 6 inches down, cut the stem at a 45 degree angle right above the node, don't slice into the node, make sure it's 45 degrees on the stem. you should have a stem with a 1 or two nodes and a branch of leaves. cut off excess leaves (leave top leaves alone) dip the end in gel, put the stem in your medium.
you have to be using some kind of irrigation though.. do you have a set up?

i understand that...my plant went through some serious stress and it was close to dying. I cut the dead leaves to keep her alive. But i can use a 3 inch long stem with only 1 leaf at the end?? or would it be better to go to the bottom where there are multiple leaves??

I wouldnt use 1 with a bud on it.
not the main stem.. a long stem with leaves that branches off the main stem works..
You can cut the main stem to clone if your keeping the mother a certain height for cloning.. you'll have to prune now and then, so as long as you pay good attention to your plants growth, you should be able to clone what you prune =)

and Haze is right, don't use a stem that already has started flowering..

ok...i get it but the only stem that has a couple leaves is at the very bottom and has a tiny bud forming. The other 3-4 inch long stems all only have one leaf on it, not several. It is a prettysmall plant. ?????
