Tips for adding moisture while curing

Just wondering if anyone has any tips for adding moisture to my buds while curing them in mason jars. They are a little bit too dry for my liking, not crumbling in my hand, just a little crispy. Should have started the cure a day earlier than I did I guess. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

It is possible that only the outer portion of your buds are over dry and if put into jars the inner moisture will spread evenly through the buds again and if enough is left some will still evaporate while curing.

One thing that is not a bad idea to do when harvesting is to keep a bag of large fan leaves in the refrigerator until a harvest is cured. If buds are over dried you can put a fan leaf or two in with your buds and the moisture will transfer to the buds. Using fan leaves will not add any possible odor or flavor to the buds.

You could just move on to opening it like once every three days, or once a week; depending on how dry it was. And that should give water in the center some more time to spread out before being dried out.

I am not sure how much moisture is left in the buds, within a day they dried up quite a bit surprisingly. I was going to start the cure the day before, but decided to wait until the next day. I did save some of my fan leaves with my trimmings and put them in my freezer. If they don't seem to be getting any wetter I think I will try that method. Don't think I wanna be smoking buds that taste like orange peels haha. Thanks.
