tips for losing weight

i blaze alot and eat a shit ton of food and now im getting abit fat, any advice, i have a gym membership and try to go swimming and gym 3 times a week but im usualy busy with studies or im too stoned to go, all i eat is chocolate occasional salad and fruit and mostly take away chinese indian and pizza etc, any advice on losing weight anyone?

Are you serious?

Less food or more exercise... There is no other way to lose weight.

aye.

first u need to pick healthier snacks (who said that..... couldnt have been me)
but mostly you have to stay active, dont keep snacks in your house, makeyourself walk to get them.
i too am liven the college life, but u cant let em trick u.

get some high protien shakes like ensure or something (and its a shake INSTEAD of lunch not WITH lunch, that one tricked me)
but really you just need to eliminate one meal a day.
i myself skip breakfast and lunch, then eat whatever the fuck i want for dinner
i mean literally, i could eat a tub of butter wrapped in bacon and deep fried in cheese and still manage to lose weight.

and dont a single one of u even mention the proposed calorie count were sposed to ingest, cuz if it was even close we wouldnt be a nation of fat ass slackers

I am 5'11" and topped out at 215 with a size 40 waist. Then I got sick of being fat.

I drink 12+ cokes a day. I switched from regular Coca Cola to Coke Zero and stopped eating 1# hungry man dinners from swanson.

Within 8 months I was about 155 with the 32" waist I had in high school. I have managed to stay this way going on 2 years now.

Thin is better, your feet dont hurt as much...

I do the calorie count (stay under 2,000/day), and I eat all day. At least 5 times a day. Breakfast and lunch are my biggest meals (cause my body is active and able to burn it off). Dinner is light cause it's before I go to sleep. I've lost almost 30 lbs doing this. I went from being 228 lbs to 201 in two months. It ONLY took two months because I was hitting the gym heavily during this time. So I'm certain I would have lost more weight, and faster if I hadn't gained so much muscle mass.

1.) Don't skip meals. Keep your body fed, and it'll keep your metabolism going. The thing is, they can't be huge, over-portioned meals. "Feed the fire"
2.) Don't eat too late. Your body slows down at night as it prepares to go to sleep. Lower your energy intake to maximize what your body burns while asleep.
3.) Exercise. This is a demand on your body for energy. Eat about 20 grams of protein before a work out. Right before. This will give the body some protein to burn during your exercises and not cannibalize your own muscles. This will furthermore trigger the body to burn body fat for energy during your workout. Workouts should last at least 45 minutes. Not from start to finish, but 45 minutes at a heightened heart rate. So warm up, get your heart rate up, then keep it there for 45 minutes.

Follow those steps and you'll lose weight faster than you know what to do.
Yes, I agree; it's involved. But so was gaining that weight that you have to lose. Gaining didn't happen overnight, losing wont either. And losing the weight ALWAYS takes longer than gaining it.

i was thinking maybe, smoke less weed = less munchies, maintain my swimmin n gym strt drinkin diet soft drinks instead of sugar filled ones specially seein as my fav is the most sugarey one (fanta fruit twist) order a smaller pizza when i got the munchies, maybe stop eating all this junk for meals and maybe walk or ride to uni instead of cab everyday lol maybe strt smoking more cigs n less weed as ciggs stop appetite. also, does wanking count as exercise lol coz these bitches r stingy, they come back to my place see all my shit n think ima buy them a fortress and a half a louis v collection b4 i fuck em, also, i was wondering, what foods fill you up the most and still taste damn good coz if i aint full ima eat lol

im 18 with my own place more money than i can count to enough weed to last me years and a junk food galore supermarket right around the corner, so fuck u bout self control, u tell me if when you go shopin stoned u gon by bannanas instead of a massive pile of choc marshmelow ice cream waffle cake and other shit

been there. One day I woke up being 80 pounds overweight. Drop sodas and drink more water. Caffeinated carbonated beverages dehydrate us. If you can't give them up completely, change to diet sodas. Drink lots and lots of water. It'll flush out your system and you'll be surprised how much better you feel. I should add that I've since lost that weight by changing to diet sodas, drinking lots of water and making my portions smaller. Get a cheeseburger instead of a double cheeseburger. One spoon of potatoes instead of two spoonfuls. You get the idea.... Portion control, no (or at least diet) sodas and water. lots of it.

Hey man, actually that IS key to losing weight and keeping it off. You need self control in order to make those good choices. Like you say; you are 18 with your own place. Nobody is going to do for you but yourself. If shopping stoned makes you choose bad food to buy, don't shop stoned. Or make a list before you go and make it a game that you don't buy anything that's not on the list. If you think food that's good for you is boring, or doesn't taste good, you need to educate yourself more about that too.

You can see from the responses you have already that people are very different and they take different approaches to the same challenge. Skipping meals, eating lots of tiny meals, drink a lot of water, maybe it works for you, maybe it doesn't. It depends on your personality and your metabolism as well.

But one thing for sure; sugary drinks are a leading cause of obesity and related health problems and it's the one thing that almost everyone here has said.

I used to be 250 lbs. I'm much happier at 200.

Gotta smoke a strain that is energetic. I puff every day before I workout. Stick with Sat strains. They are great for motivation. Hit the indi's when you want to chill.

Here is the deal...I have a problem with portion control but I'm not overweight anymore...I found the secret...eat way too much of things that are healthy and low in calories...My personal favorite would have to be EdaMame---soybeans...steamed with salt...sounds gross and health foody---but I love them...and you can eat them until you are truly full with no ill effects...they are the ONLY fat free protein...anything that I can eat alot of without feeling like I am killing myself is what i go for...because as I said...I am uncommonly hungry sometimes...but then again I might not eat much of anything for a few days just because I wasn't hungry....but then it hits me and it's like I need 2 lbs of salad stat!!!!

Here is the skinny and fat of it...just be happy...if you are happy fat then fuck everyone else...but if being fat makes you unhappy change it...before it gets too late...walk around uselessly....park farther from places you need to go...I have a job in a plant so I stand up for 8-10 hours every night...I make the most of that time by running in place...actually stationary jogging knocked about 30 lbs off me in the last 6 months so it wasn't a quick happening...but don't give up...There aren't really any quick answers unless you wanna take cocaine or steroids...not sure which is safer...but one has some super gross physical side effects while one has some really horrendous emotional side effects...so probably not a good idea...just eat healthy when you eat---which doesn't mean no junk food...just not as much---and try to do some kind of exercise...any muscle movement burns calories...carry alot of rocks in your pocket and go for a walk...carry some gallons of water up and down stairs...there are all kinds of everyday things that can really help with weight loss...go take care of some poor families rambunctious children...I guarantee you they will have you lose at least 3 lbs with no additional exercise or diet care...they steal your food and ceaselessly wish to be chased after...so they are diet and exercise all in one.

or how about the meth diet...when i smoke alot of weed i also put on weight fast...wish there was some weed that didnt give me the munchies....

Yeah, but I think he might want to keep his teeth, lol.

I use weed for relaxing after a good workout. All you have to do is refrain from smoking till you do some physical activity, not that hard.
