first outdoor grow, I’ve seen and heard how bad boytritis can be with our fucked up weather. Any tips/experience on preventing it?

Just chopped 3 plants with mold in mid-August. Dang. One little shower, a couple of cooler, cloudy days and there's grey rot in chunky colas. Should have put up my beach umbrella.

Oh man, oh man, oh man... Great question... Sucks so much ass, my own crop was decimated by it last year, and to this day I am still plagued by the worm-poop that often leads to Botrytis.

For now, neighbor, I tell you this: Prevent caterpillar worms, with every fiber of your being. Get predator bugs, befriend your neighborhood Chicadees (the MA state-bird, who dines upon the worms that poop on & burrow inside our plants), get insect netting, neem-oil, IDK... But Botrytis starts with the green wormy beasts. Prevent them NOW from getting into your garden, or get rid of them NOW before the flowers really bloom.

And I fully agree with what Nizza recommends, 100%...
try a fan outside, shaking the plants off every morning and after rain, and making sure you plant somewhere where they get good morning sunlight... also greencure is a great preventative, but i've found its usually caterpillars/worms shitting in the buds that ends up causing the mold

Are these from spider mites? I got a bunch of lady bugs but they’re already gonezo View attachment 4381800 View attachment 4381801

Nope.. that is some catterpillar damage or some moth worm.. spidermites dont eat leafes, they suck juices from plant leafes so damage looks a bit different..

Against Botryitis try to find Chitosane Hydrocloride and apply before bad weather starts for prevention....

Maybe u can use a keyboard cleaner to pressure blow the poop off the bud? i dont know havent tried it yet because i havent seen the little fuckers in a while and im in week 5 now of flowering, so ive already ordered a 10x10 net for my bush to keep the moths from getting to the flowers but im thinking of spraying down the net with some Thuricide BT from home depot, its like $8.
