Tips to increase yield

You could top them. This consists of pinching off the new leaves growing from the very top. Only do it once. After you top a plant, it will grow 2 tops where there was 1. Your plant is 18 inches tall now... so after your new tops grow out a little bit, you can begin 12/12.

Whoever told you that "the earlier you flower, the higher the yield" was full of it. You want the plant to grow for a while before flowering. Your plant (being 18 inches) has grown enough to start the flowering phase.

what he said is wrong. he is describing to you how to fim. if you want to top your plant wait till it gets about 6-8 nodes high and cut the whole top of the plant off cut under the 4th or 5th node and you will get atleast 4 main colas. if you want to increase your yeild its pretty simple.... besides the obvious(enough light and water and fresh air) use good nutrients i like fox farm trio with the 3 pack powder mixes also, make sure your temperature and humidity are on point this will reduce stress to the plant which will make her grow bigger and faster. Add co2 during vegging/flowering only when the lights are on. And the most simple way to yeild more is to veg for a longer period of time

Uncle Ben's Topping Method

I did this for my current grow (just journaled it). I cut 3 out of 4 plants back at approx day 30, now at almost day 56, they're fuller & 3/4 as tall as the uncut one. I will finally put into flower in 2 days, PATIENCE rewards bigger yields not sooner flowering times! Good luck

Lumens are key to dense dank buds. But I do honestly believe Gravity adds significant bulk to the flowers. http://www.planetnatural.com/site/gravity-flower-hardener.html

I haven't done side by side testing, but everything I've grown using Gravity ended up with super dense nugs. I can attest to the fact that it runs very hot and I would halve the recommended amount of Gravity on the label. Don't roast your buds just trying to squeak out another couple ounces. Hope this helps!
