You can either change the receptacles to 6-15 p...240v @208/480 or change the cord ends with the correct nema 6-15 r...120-240v and probably still change the receptacles to match...why not just hardwire it in a 1900 -j- box...
It is easy though...just like putting a new end on an extension cord...
All electrical work is easy....just shut off that circuit first before you work on it.

I was thinking that I would have to do more then just rewire the nema plug since it's a 240 and I want to down grade to a 120. On each of them.

I don't think there is a neutral in 240 so I'm not sure how I am going to make all this work but when I get the box I will open it up and take some pictures of it. Just was trying to get advice.

Yes now you have to rewire the ballast tap for the voltage change...the voltage should be printed on the wires if it is a multitap...variable voltage...ballast.

Ok so I just bought the diffrent nema cords that work with my ballast. And plug right into the box re wiring sounds complicated lol or will I still need to rewire them?. Now for a power cord I have a few feet of some 10/3 stw 30 amp cable.. Inside my controller it's states 6awg and 50 amps... So I am guessing it would be a problem to use this cord.
