TLO things to do between feedings?

Hey all,

New to organics here, but loving it so far! Smelling and tasting things ive never had before. I just have a little question that i think might spark some cool discussion.

Ive read TLO and have been easing myself into the tech. Just a few weeks into flowering my second run. Im working with mandalas hashberry, humboldt blue dream, and a DNA chocolope. For now, its all pretty new to me so im keeping it simple. My first run went well and so far ive been doing the same thing with this run. Basically, ive just been using fox farm ocean forest soil and the revs flowering tea recipe once every 2 weeks as he suggests. Things are looking good and healthy so far, but i just feel like i could be giving them more, and i could be getting more. especially since my soil isnt nearly as "hot" as the mix the rev suggests, on top of the tea.

So, my question is this. What does everybody do between tea feedings, any other micro nutes, different teas, or anything used? Does anyone feed every week instead of every other, maybe with just a bit "weaker" of a tea? Or is it really all in the soil mix? Any suggestions or advice welcome. And please dont blast my tech. Ive had great success with other methods in the past, and i understand what im doing miht not be totally organic yet or optimal, but im new to this tech, and thats why im asking questions. Thanks in advance everyone.

I use general organics and use nutes w every watering, they say to so I just nute lightly.

I do like fox farms, everything I grow in their soil looks amazing no matyer what size. I prefer coco just for price difference and you don't need to carry a big bag or bags of soil. If I was small scale ff all the way but I wont mind mixing it w coco after harvest. I plan to keep reusing dirt.

Compost tea every other watering and enzyme teas the rest. I water every 5 or 6 days. Lite top dress every few weeks with worm castings and compost. Top dress with dry amendments every 3-4 weeks.

Awesome, thanks! Top dressing sounds good, since i dont have more in my soil. My room is on the hot side, i water every 2-3 days. I guess ill have to start looking into enzyme teas. But yeah, ff has always done me well too. Most people i know do 1/2 ff 1/2 promix. For this wave, i wanna perfect my tea/nute game, and then, soon enough, ill get into the soil and recycling and all that. Thanks folks.

I.use pro mix
Compost,
Ewc
Shrimp meal
Neem cake
Kelp meal
Basalt rock dust

Then topdress with same when next round comes around.

Check the sticky : rols recycled organics living soil no till thread

You can use fresh young coconut water for enzyme tea 1/4 cup per 5 gal of water.
Or
Malted barley flour. 1 tsp per gal.

Cool, thanks. Ill start trolling those threads for sure! Haha. If you got a sec. In a nutshell, whats general the idea with enzyme teas?

enzymes speed up the reaction rate of decomposing matter. form a complex with bacteria to stabilize organic material. Helps release available plant nutrients. ie breaks down old dead roots fast and promotes faster root growth and basically makes it all the benies last longer and not break down.

you should look into starting a worm bin and make your own vermicompost ( compost and worm castings)

Thanks again for great replies. Man, ive got some reading to do haha. Gotta crack into teaming, as well as just a lot more threads here. Herb, Started looking at your LAB thread, pretty neat stuff going on there. So, i feeding i would do my tlo tea, and then between, i would use that stuff to help break it all down? The guy in the video says that it breaks stuff down real quick. Would this be something good to innoculate a compost heap with also? Seems like it may speed up the process drastically. And yeah, i def. want to start a vermi farm. Once i own a house (which may be pretty soon) im gonna get up on all that stuff, raise some chickens, vegetable garden. Right now i rent and just dont have the room for much.
