To Top or To Fim & When Is The ?

When is the right time to top or fim? what have u had best results with? should u wait a certain time? getting so many mixed reviews to either not or what till it’s a certain height.
any help is much appreciated cheers

You will get many different answers to this.

Basically the plant should be healthy when its done. If the plant is droopy or has had too many nutes recently (you find discoloration, holes or marked up leaves) WAIT till it recovers.

3rd node or later in veg...... I FIMM once, dont top at all, myself.

I might FIMM once in flower if its not looking like a hedge by now. Usually I don't top or fimm in 12/12.

Less shock to a plant is better for its health.

If you post pics you'll get a lot more responses, but I top whenever I feel like it. I don't go by getting a set number of nodes first. It's hard to do wrong.

I appreciate any information and advice I can get thank u very much this my first indoor grow picture in my first thread I got clone from buddy it did have couple leaves with nutrient burn but since I got it he had in fox farm and perlite I took it out put it in my superponics 8 and she has been thriving roots nice pearly white where all balled together had to massage soil off with ph’d water she seams to be doing great leaves are perky and seams to be loving the light I just put in I have it set at 48inches to get it acclimated kind led xl750 my room temp is 80 humidity is 57 my water temp is 62 and my tds 1.6 @Couch_Lock @PadawanWarrior see previous thread thank u both positive vibes only

How do u like posts double tap or some shit can’t seam to figure it out but much appreciated information will keep posting updates I’m curious to see how this goes I’m pretty attentive to detail so I figured hydro was the way to go for me

Still nothing thanks brother Just still learning this site and the game always grew outside just let her do her thing I’m able to grow indoors now so while new ball game and especially hydro but I’m soaking up all I possibly can

I think post count determines when you can "like"........not sure though.

Fuck yeah man well the stars are aligning ahaha this is Cannarado slap n tickle clone I’m growing her out all the way before I pop other beans so this is a experimental run but I still wanna do my absolute best learn along the way experience is the best teacher right but it’s like a fucking roller coaster ride lol

If u don’t mind me asking my buddy who works at dispo been growing along time tells me to run my light 24/7 until I go to flower mode 12/12 how do u feel about this @Couch_Lock i have gotten a lot of diff responses wonder what your take is I’ve heard 18/6 , 16/8 so many diff views etc

I think its best for a plants health to get some darkness daily. I've tried 20/4, 19/5 and 18/6.

This run has been 19/5.....I'm gonna flip in 2 weeks.

I do 24/0, then switch to 12/12 when I want to flower.

When they are healthy seedlings I start supercropping after the 5th-6th node. Some strains respond better than others. Bubba Kush and Snow temple for sure start lateral branching like crazy. Sour D as well. I never top anymore. Nothing against it.
