To trim or not to trim? *scientific facts only*

Ive heard lots of debate about weather or not it is beneficial to trim fan leaves and bottom branches during flowering. Im curious. Does anyone actually have any scientific facts which back their theory, weather pro trim or not.

My personal opinion is pruning the bottom small branches at the beginning of flowering will allow the plant to focus its production on the bigger buds. The leaves are used to store nutrients and take in the light and co2. Light and co2 are both things that make buds big and dense which would mean that the leaves should not be pruned....if common sense prevails...anyone have any science to prove my beliefs wrong?

Why would you bother collecting all these "scientific" "facts", when all your answers are already in one book: the Bible. Cannabis is clearly a seed-bearing plant, which God has given us for food. So, if you eat the leaves after you remove them, you are in the clear!

(sorry... thanks mr sunshine)

Do you have any science to prove what you say is correct?

That being said, I don't trim fans till they near death on their own.
And I trim bottoms....just don't want the larf and I like the airflow and organization of it all. I clone the bottoms as well.

photo fucking synthesis... if you have no idea what that is, well then, you need to READ!

But in case you have no idea, photosynthesis the process where a plants leafs combined with SUNLIGHT create FOOD for the plant. No leafs, how does a plant eat? you can't seriously rely on the roots for this can you?

yes the leaves produce energy for the plant through photosynthesis however the buds have their own leaves for energy.
