Tobacco Spray for Spider mites

Ok... so i added like a teaspoon of garlic juice, a couple drops of habanero sauce, and the tobacco contents of a cigar, as a homemade spray for spidermites. I'm gonna soak it over night, and then boil it for a couple minutes tomorrow morning before i put it in the spray bottle. My question is for people who have used a similar spray- how effective will this spray be, and how will the spray effect the taste/ smell of my nugs?

thanx for the help,

i dont think the nicotine content of cigar tobacco is high enough to kill those bugs. i used two cigs soaked for two nights and it wasnt a very effective pesticide.

ok... so i just went ahead and used my spray anyways... went back an hour later and only saw like one living spider mite, so i think the spray will work... i will continue to spray for the next couple of days and see how things go.

I used about 1/2 pound of habaneros, 6 cloves of garlic and blended it with 2 cups of water until it was a fine puree. Then I boiled 1/2 gallon of water with a cinnamon stick and 1 teaspoon of clove powder. I strained it and poured the liquid in a spray bottle and let em' have it. Don't know if it was 100% effective, but will post later. Also, make sure after 1 hour to spray and clean the leaves with plain water to remove small habanero and bug pieces.

Spray was 100% effective. No more spider mites. woo-hoo. Must spray 1 week later just in case of eggs hatched, just to make sure you get them all. Good Luck
