I don't live in Vegas, but I don't recommend your plan. The lack of humidity and the intensity of the sun are going to be an issue. I would plant them into larger pots......don't allow your plants to get root bound. Then, start them in the shade a few hours a day and over the period of a week or two acclimate them to the outdoor conditions. THEN plant them in the ground and water deep.....not directly under the plant, but in a circle just outside of the canopy. Making them reach just a bit for water will encourage root growth and help them catch up on size a bit. Honestly....this should have been done much earlier in the season so your harvest will not be great, but something is always better than nothing.

I know I had plants almost 5 foot tall my damn pigs ate them and these fuckers didn't just eat them I mean ripped them up out the ground and everything there was no repairing that bull crap so I threw two my mothers out one took off and is doing great the other is died so I slowly worked my clones outside into the sun now they're outside doing their lil thing but damn pigs ruined my harvest hurts me just to think about it

"You ever plant at the end of July? I plant at the end of July..."

I had some extras I threw in the ground because it was either that, or watch them burn in the heat. I don't know what Vegas was like this summer, but I'm at least familiar with northern Nevada heat (Renoite)...
Once you've hardened them off, throw down a lot of mulch and keep an eye on 'em and you'll be okay. A LOT of mulch, until they put roots deeper than their pot depth, they'll dry QUICK.

I wouldn't put any baby out in the Vegas sun but that's just my opinion. I'm near Reno and it'll burn the piss outa them unless you add a shade of some kind. 114F is a bit hot, I know 101 is for mine. I don't even screw with growing outside here, too many mites and critters and sun and wind and... oh my! If you must go outside start slow with an hour or two at a time.

I put these regs outside because i ran out of room and wanted to sex them. 18/6 to outdoors 2 weeks ago. Some burns on fan leaves. Temps go up to 114. These are in the alley so few hours direct sun.
I just got an irrigation timer because watering is a pita. Need to keep top layer very moist.

Dayton, banana belt uknow? lol

Oh and I usually start at the end of July too but planted an auto to test out a light. The light was good so I kept the auto.
I always thought Dayton was a Paiute res... Had to check. I try to stay out of Lyon county, though. Spent too much time in the county jail, the old one....

The first image is from around July 8th...I was bored. Had been cloning for my indoor crop farther south..So I through up some plastic for a few weeks and put them into the raised bed. I DIDNT top them.. I used mainly lst..The second picture is now..Things are just really beginning to flower...We have had a few days in the mid 90s..But nothing like the LV...Shade is going to be important...and tons of H20
