Depends where you are In the world,if your in the northern hemisphere and she starts flowering in a few weeks then you risk it re-vegging if you don't do light dep. And also if you wait even longer than it will grow out all year and won't flower until fall. When were you hoping on finishing her?

Also preflowers don't necessarily mean it's flowering. It just means they are sexually mature and could be flowered at some point. What strain is it? Is it an auto. My photostrains don't usually show sex until around the 7th node. How many hours light is it getting?

Ya consistent supplemental lighting run by a timer. The don't like when their light and dark periods get screwed with. Can cause problems like spindly twisted growth and hermaphrodites.

Ya there's nothing you can do to stop it from flowering then. Autoflowers bloom based on genetics not by photo period. The auto flowers do tend to like more hours of light during flower so I would still give it more light. 18-20 hours. That plant won't get very big especially in a small container like that. it would be easy to bring it in at night

Next time if you get autos start in a bigger container. And give lots of light in veg. They don't even need a dark period

No but they will flower under 24hrs light. I start mine indoors under 24hrs then bring outdoors to flower under the intense sun getting 14-16hrs. But days are still pretty short and I'd be giving that little girl lots of light
