Too Hot, and baked leaves

So I put my plant in my box, yesterday night. I left the lights on, since I was doing a 24/7 light cycle, but then when I open my box this morning, and I looked at my plant, I was "OH SHIT!"

Several of it's leaves had shriveled up, but not completely, with a few have small yellowing blotches. Realizing I may have left the heat increase far too much, I left my box open wide with my fan turned on, and I watered the poor thing, since the ground was insanely dry.

I'd like to know, did I happen to kill it?

(And this is kinda urgent, since I have the intention of flowering it soon, even if it IS excessively early to do so, I don,t mind about a lower yeild. I do though mind about a no-yeild.)

It's impossible to say without pics, but if It's still alive it should perk up with a drink, either way you will know soon.:weed:

My current grow has been in the high 80's to mid 90's all the time during the day. Leaves have taken a beating but yield has not been affected. Good luck.

Alrightites, I'll be posting pictues asap! (only, it's going to be at least 9-10 hours after the incident, I'm sorta at work.)

Hopefully, nothing serious happened ^_^

You should be fine top leaves can take a beating from heat that is kind of what they are for. Definitely pull the lights back and cool it down. Do you know the temps off the top of your head that you are getting?

Approx 30°C, (I think that's about 85°f).
Otherwise, I've readapted my "box growing house" to allow the hot air to evacuate a lot better, and also I've rearranged my light cycle to 18/6, for heat and to allow meself to sleep during the night.

Anyways, As far as I can see, it's pretty much only the top leaves, as you said, that were affected. ^_^ No plant killing for today!

you should check the soil with your finger. if you can feel moisture than the plant is ok. if it feels like sand you need to water. sounds like the it was under watering that made them shrivel up. and if they are cupping upward than it is probably do to heat stress. i am expierencing the same problem, as the climate i grow in is very hot and keeps the house hot. even when i turn on a/c it is 85+ degrees in the grow room. it sucks, but thats why i want to move to the mountains. good luck.

Thanks mate. But don't worry, I know it has nothing to do with under water, since I always arrange myself to water whenever them seem to want it (as in when the soil is dry).

Otherwise, I guess i'd also best try to move out too, somewhere nice and cool, maybe get meself a small appartment with a big closet... ;)

That is what I am doing right now Melangwanja, my apartment is a building my parents own and they just let me manage it for them. The place I am in the tho is super small but a huge closet, it gets too hot with an a/c running all day and 3 fans for air circulation. You should be good with what you have now tho.

Oh! Forgot to repost on here.

So yeah! I gave it a drink, perked right up and is perfectly healthy now!

It's actually in flowering now. Grow to a marvelous 16 inches! :D Although some of the older leaves have degraded and fallen, the new ones are perfectly healthy, and everything seems to be doing quite peachy! ^_^

Thanks for the help, everyone! +rep! :D
