too hot or just right?

so i am runnin a 1000w super blue in a 4x4 tent with a 6'' vortex 452 cfm fan and the hood about 18'' away from canopy, and i cant get the temps below 85 while the lights are on, and i have to open up a couple of the windows as well(and its a pain in the ass keepin up with it every time). with the tent rolled up it runs at around 97 degrees which i know is way too hot what do u guys think? im not runnin any cO2

get co2 and it won't matter as much at 85, but 95 is too much by far. got crazy scraggle bud running temps that high last summer. you could put a swamp cooler by your air intake...

i almost lost all my plants in my 3rd grow cause of high temps like that.gotta get some cooler air move n. the best im gettn rite now is 80 with the lites on.

thanks guys, i just need a way to exhaust out the window but im in colorado and i cant leave the window cracked b/c its freezing at night and i cant cut any holes b/c im in an apt. so anybody know some sort of gizmo they sell that i can just set in a windowsill and close the window on it to keep cold out, and have a 6'' port for exhaust at the same time?

there is a free standing ac unit that comes with a plate that fits in a window. kinda pricey though

hmm. they must make something for a dryer or a/c unit. i cant be the only one with this prob.

i'd try to work with a swamp cooler or free standing ac unit... or just cut holes in your walls if you can patch it up, or say goodbye to the security deposit... how much is it worth it?

95, we peak out around 85 some days now, but not enough to make the shit loose. running the lights at night helps a lot if you don't already...

yeah i definitely offset the daytime id hate to see the temp otherwise. so u havnt had any probs at 85 though thats helps my doubts a little thanks man. have u gotten a harvest yet at that temp to compare?

yea, we were around 85 for a while pulling in harvests and didn't lose much density. though, without co2, you're plants will grow a little slower than they will at 75-80, so you will lose a little yield that way. gotten some killer smoke at 85 though, so don't worry too much there.
