Too late for seeds?

Prepping to do first grow. Located outside Portland, OR. Life kinda got away from me so now I'm trying to decide seeds or clones?

Thanks. Think I'll try seeds and hope for best. Looking at Durban by Southern Oregon Seeds. It's Durban Poison x Skunk 1. Hoping to get something good since Durban Poison is one of the most effective daytime strains for me.

I'm right up in WA. Are there any good stores in Oregon where you can go in and browse seeds or is everything order online down there?

Pure Green on Sandy Blvd had Alphakronik. Oregon's Finest had seeds but super expensive. Few places have clones. Haven't had time to do extensive seed/clone searching so probably going to do mail order. I have to go to Medford for a wedding next weekend so hoping to be able to pick it up.

Yeah. If I can manage to find clones of stuff I know works I'll probably switch horses again. Going to do a bit if shopping today and pick up a gram of a couple other varieties of seed that I'm considering. This would be so much easier and less worrisome if all I was after was recreational.

Until mid june / very early July you can start seeds. They don't grow nearly as big as ones started earlier, but they will grow

Wanting to start from seed is the complete opposite of running stuff that is known to work well in your area. A total crap shoot honestly, especially if you are considering using something like alphakronik gear. If you don't mind uncertainty and have the time to sex seeds, and want phenos no one else has then go with seed. IF you want a strain in particular and have a lot riding on the grow, then go with clones that are known to do well in your area.

Was considering Alphakronik since readily available but then read reviews and too many people had poor germination, unstable genetics etc so went back to shopping.

Unfortunately, no luck finding clones of what I would prefer so considering pheno hunting.

There can be situations where it's good to start late (not for yield) but if you need to keep them short for weather or visibility purposes

Well this really helped me, I was starting to worry it was gonna be too late for me to start my clones outdoors but it looks like I still have a lot of time left :hump: first outdoor grow by the way
Well as a heads up...there can be a lot of bad suggestions in these forums. Alls I can say is google should be your best friend. Read read read! Outdoor growing is sooo rewarding and fun!
