Too much CFM?

Hey guys, I'm a new grower and I just harvested my 3rd grow. On every single grow so far, the plant on the left always turns out better.

For my first 2 grows I was just using my sliding door closet and for my 3rd grow I upgraded to a 4x2x5 tent inside the closet. I used a semi-aircoolable hood for my first two grows and had the suction pointing towards the left. I got a better real air-coolable hood for my 3rd grow and the suction is towards the right. I decided to get a 400cfm fan because I have a lot of bends in my ducting. My current intake is the 120v fan attached to the ducting that goes down the right side of the tent and into the tent near the bottom. The tent has 3 ventilation rectangles at the bottom, but 2 of them are pinned up right against the wall. For my first 2 grows, I only had a little box opening in the bottom left that had a small piece of duct behind a screen. The sliding closet door would close and block off the rest. I have pictures of everything included.

I'm trying to figure out what exactly is causing the left plant to always be better... on my very first grow, the right plant, bubba kush -indica, turned out to smell like hay after cure and high was extremely low but the left plant, og kush fire - mainly sativa, turned out to be extremely sticky and a great high. On my second grow, the right plant, purple ak47 - indica, turned out to be some great bud and nice high but the left plant was loaded with sticky thc, but it was a bit weak on the high. And on this 3rd grow my right plant, dna sour cream - mostly sativa, completely failed (burnt, no oxygen for 2 weeks, my fault - forgot airline) but my left plant, lavender - indica, has produced the most amazing bud I have ever seen, have not tried it yet though. The only seed I used was the dna sour cream that was in a rapidrooter plug, all the rest were clones in rockwool cubes from the local club. First and Second grow were just suspended in net pots. Started using hydroton rocks on 3rd grow.

Could it possibly be that I am using too much air exhaust or too little intake? I read somewhere that the biggest fan you can get is best... so I decided to get the 400cfm.
Or just bad luck?

Any ideas?

the only way that too much cfm would hurt would be if you're warming or cooling with a/c or heater and it's not keeping up because the air is being dumped too quick, otherwise, the more venting the better. i think that the combo of inefficiencies in the room are causing these things to happen, like not having an airline for 2 weeks, it is a no no! some plants are more hardy can take such conditions a bit better than others but you need to get things dialed and you will see the desired results. just take care of the little details and set up everything as good as possible and the results will come. good luck.

I would suspect its not the airflow. It has to be some other environmental condition such as fans blowing on the plants, water temperatures, nutrient concentrations that each plant likes or maybe there is a light leak or something on that one side?

I'll be interested to see what other people think.

Ah okay, great tips guys, thanks. That airline was a huge mistake... never done that before, but because of the new tent I just didn't see the pump unattached... and well fucked up big time lol
And I did rotate them a few times, but I actually forgot to hook up the left plant for about 3-4 days because I rotated it around, and didn't realize the air line hoses were sticking out the back =\

Also, I do have an oscillating fan blowing on the plants. I keep it on the lowest setting and it's placed in the lower right section. I think you can see it on the picture.
As for the nutrient, I've been using GH dry food, which I plan on switching to liquid food because some of the nutrients just wouldn't dissolve no matter how long I waited or shook the water container.
I was actually feeding them a bit less than 1-2tbps like recommended by GH and tried to get the ppm to match each stage.
As for light leaks, I had that duct in there for my 1st and 2nd grow that would basically act as a light trap and my 3rd grow is a tent, so there really should be no light leaks at all, ever.
Also, for the water temperature, I usually my 2 5gallon buckets get filled up with my RO machine, add some nutrients, shake it up, close em up, and leave em for a day or two. 1st and 2nd grow, I didn't have any reflective stuff on the buckets. For my third grow, the plant on the right had it's lid covered with reflective tape. For the left bucket, I had some reflective foam kinda stuff that I wrapped around the bucket itself, and cut a circle piece and placed it on the lid. I'm planning to cover both buckets with aluminum tape completely, the bucket itself and the lids.

Anyways, I think it might just be shitty luck, bad care, or something similar... and of course for this grow, a lot to do with my neglect for checking/not seeing the airlines. I'm gonna get 2 indica's and scrog them this time.
Would there be any point of having the fan down in a corner? Should I try to get it higher so that it just blows under the hood/canopy and forget the bottom of the plants?
I think there was a bit too much wind blowing on them once they fully matured. I think it grew upwards and then the bottom of the plant tried to grow some new stuff, but they came out all deformed and shit because the fan was blowing a little too hard even though I had it on the lowest setting and oscillating. I think I've had a little bit of that on every plant, just really thought it about it now.

I used to blow air directly on the plants but after having a couple people tell me that can negatively affect resin production I just circulate allot of air around (above) them. I do like to "wind storm" my vegging plants though as it promotes thick stems. The thicker the stem the bigger the bud. That is one thing that never changes.
