Took a true clone, no gel.

I posted this all in my journal for more details, but i want a little more perspective!

I'm vegging out 4 plants right now, all bag seeds that are growing nice and healthy in FFHF soil. I topped 2 of them and took a cutting off the bottom node of my most vigorous grower. I didn't have any cloning gel so I dipped it into 1 part hydro peroxide 4 parts water, and a drop of super thrive, and inserted it into a rapid rooter, which went into a cup of soil with a make shift dome.

I put it in the corner of my tent out of the direct light and cut the tips to promote root growth. The furb Clone 1.jpg The furb clone capped.jpg

You don't need cloning gel or powder. It may help them root faster but you root cuttings in a cup of water as long as you change it daily.
Gonna try this method next round. Solo cup str8 is taking too long.

@Redishx did u split the end in two, to create more rooting surface area? Or scrape the stem to get the hard shell mostly off where fluids contact the dirt? If got it packed nice and firm, and moist, u might be alright. Make sure you mist the leaves, as it can only uptake water through the leaves. Osmosis. It has no roots yet. And let the dome air 1ce or 2ce daily

How strong of a light would I need to throw it under 12/12. Can I use a small cfl? Or the 20w cob

U can use cfl, but cob probably better, not sure the spectrums etc. It takes a while so don't give up unless it looks rotten. Then gently try to pull upwards by pinching the main stem. Check gently to see if it is attached and then if its dead it will literally come out with very little effort. If it feels stuck in there then its prob gonna be OK. But don't do this until like at least 21 days..
Would not suggest 12/12 this plant yet, rule of thumb I go by is 12/12 at least 5 nodes of growth. This plant doesn't even have roots yet
