Maynard was the room mate of some of my good friends when they all went to art school together. I hung out with him a couple times when he would come back to town for the holidays.
I can honestly say he was a character and a complete trip of a human being even before he was famous. He gave me some really great life advice that I still follow to this day like 27 years later.
