Top of a side chute broke

Had a top of a side branch break off about 5 days ago and it didnt heal itself back up. Northern lights auto. Should i just cut the stem on the branch back to the middle bud site? or leave it or take the whole branch? 2nd week flowering. about 5 weeks old total. 4 ft tall so its well developed. Have a photo buried on my computer somewere i can get if needed.

Cut it back to the nearest bud site.. transfers the energy too that bud..

K sounds good, Just wanted to make sure. Thought it would heal up but i was wrong lol. Broke her pretty good doing some "LST' lol.
