Top of the Line Ballast and Reflectors

First of all, if there is a place where I can get reviews on these lighting products, please point me to them so I can review them.

I'm new to these scene and would like to get peoples opinion on lighting equipment. What are some of the top of the line reflectors and ballasts on the market today and are they worth the added cost to upgrade from the typical standard equipment like the magnetic ballast etc.

One guy at the hydro store was trying to sell me the new Raptor reflectors and the phantom digital ballasts. He says while they are more expensive, they will pay for itself in less than a year cause of the savings from the digital ballasts.

Can I really go wrong with any of the air cooled reflectors? Cause to the naked eye of a newbie they all look the same. Any advice is appreciated.

you can never go wrong with lumetek ballasts and i really like my magnum xxxl hoods. it depends how much room you have to work with?

i have a 13x15 flowering room im about set up soon. Just need to get the equipment in to get started. The main difference between say a Cool Sun and the magnum xxxl hoods is the coverage space right?

Yeah buddy I use master blaster 1500s and the ocho reflectors. There both made by sunsytems so I can't go wrong.
