topped and now 3 heads?

if ive had a 400hps on my plants, and am now using a 600.
should i lower the plants, to more than a foot away.
how far away should my plants be away from the 600, cos it a lot hotter than the 400.

the temp is now back at 77.
i

can i lower the plants to 1 and 1/2 or 2 foot away now i have a 600 up?.

I would let them gradually get used to it. That might be a bit too close BUT I don't know what your plants were used to before. your plants will let you know soon enough because the top leaves will because yellowish from scorching.
I did it to mine becuase they are growing so fast.

that happened to me when i rigged the 400 and 250 together.
but the 600hps by its self, is not as hot,as the 2 together.
i have my first daff, comming through, nearly spring.
still cold, its been hailing all morning.

some of my plants are 32 days 12/12 now, not that long now.
id say half way.

Yes It takes a while for us to get used to the light as well as the plants. I have some spring plants coming up but we have a ways to go yet. You are in England and it is spring most of the time of the year there.

32 days...yep.1/2 way there crazy. Just don't start counting down the days or you will drive yourself crazy

these are my best small topped plants,bith 8 main heads, and i think there male.
shame cos there so well topped.

not spring now, it 2 foot of snow this morning..
hope the heater came on in my grow area last night, its so cold.
but i like snow better than rain, and so do the dogs.

random pics of my plants in diff. stages of 12/12, now under 600hps, 2 foot away, im going to try to move them a little nearer,every plant has been multi topped 2 to 4 times, 4 to 16 heads.
i now have 15 flowering plants, some 5 some 3 some 1 and some a few days old, just had to kill one of the ak48,cos it was male,i also think the other ak and durbin poison are male, for now. hope they are i havent got the room, my 1st 10 plants were female.
any views.

going to set another grow closet, next week,with my 400hps.
im going to have 4 stages
1 vegg under flos
2 vegg when bigger for 2 more week, before i goto 12/12.
3 flower under 400hps, for first half or the flowering process
4 flower under 600 untill finished.
i will start 2 to 4 plants every 2 weeks, so i get the same harvest, and so ive always got enuf to smoke, so i never have to buy weed.

Well to be honest i have my 400watthps 8" from my plants tops but i don't recommend it unless you are prepared to check on them every hour or 2 and have a powerful fan on the hps and the tops of the plants.
Its very easy to burn them if your not careful.
If you going to move the hps close i would recommend using a heat spreader.
I dont own a 600 so i cant help you out there really

they seem much hotter than one would think, thanks, ill be carfull.
its soo cold here at the moment, 2" wouldnt matter, its snowing, and very cold.
so much for spring, i was going to start some of the garden seeds"bedding plants ect...".
but ill wait a few weeks.
till the snow goes.
im even going to start vegging an outdoor strain.
i have durbin poison,but its a stav.
anyone suggest a good outdoor strain.

I think you said before that you were English so try to get some acclimatized outdoor strains from Glastonbury.
I dont think i am allowed to post links to seedbanks here but if you search for cannabis in avalon you will end up finding a link to a seed shop in Glastonbury.
