Topping an auto

I know some do and some dont but i got a small or rather tall problem. One of my autos, a Blimburn Apple Fritter still has not flowered and its gotten so tall i cant move the light up any higher. The plant looks great otherwise. Its about 8weeks or so old but i would have to check my notes.

At this point in late veg would topping it be a big mistake?

The big fan leaves on this sucker are around 10" across too. It had 1 feeding of MEGACROP and some Chicken Poo granular. Im beginning to wonder if they sent a fem instead of an auto as a freebie.

At this point it seems like a fairly safe assumption that it's a photo fem. Being that tall, not sure there are many ways to bend it over where it's not going to get in something else's way. Could probably chop a few clones off the main stalk to get it down to a more manageable height.

Blimburns description says 8-10 weeks and 5ish ft tall but with showing this much indica traits and a Blimburn Bruce Banner (sativa leaning) right next to it budding away its just hard to believe its an auto at this point.

Seeds often are mislabeled / repackaged or just a crap shoot. It happens. I actually ran that same plant , it did the same shit ( not auto ). Super crop it / LST the bottom ( widen ) … you will have to flip her. Actually had a few “ autos “ not transition so they were handled as photos instead.

What light cycle are you on ? And how far along are the others ?

Bumburn seeds lol
I ordered the Bruce Banner auto and got the Apple Fritter x2 as freebies. Out of 5 seeds i got 2 to germinate. Well 3 actually but one died shortly after sprouting.

Not sure why because i use the same method and seeds ive gotten locally all popped and grew. First time messing with autos though and mainly just to see if i want to run them this spring/summer.

If i had 2 or 3 of these as my only plants i would just roll with it. Be pretty damn happy with the way it looks too...other than not flowering yet...Obviously. :P

Top it and clone the cutting. Then change your lights to 12/12

I would but i got a Bruce Banner auto in the same tent and it is in flower. I got another 1 gallon test plant in there too that is also an auto and flowering. I think my best bet at this point is to drag this out just long enough for me to get another 150watt LED and move the AppleFritter to another area for 12/12.
