Topping clones??

when my clones are growing their leaves form alternately on each side of the stem as opposed to two stem one on each side of the stem. Does this effect topping? Since the cut won't be just above the two leaf node, but rather above only one leaf, will two colas still form?

thanks

My favorite is to do the topping before the cloning, so you end up with a two-headed clone from day 1 of rooting. I find this method doesn't take any longer to root the cuttings and you get to drop the extra veg time after you top the rooted clone etc. Just my 2 cents
(follow the two-headed clone with prompt supercropping after growth resumes and you're pretty much looking at a flower ready lady in 2 weeks depending on your size---i run mylar tents and this is perfect for me)

(for the sake of making sensE)
what I mean by topping before cloning is that you take your branch----oh so perfect and desirable for cloning---and cut the top couple of nodes off so you are left with a branch containing only lateral meristems, not an apical meristem---the goal of topping
