Topping for CFL

I was thinking of topping some of my taller plants, mostly for the purpose of keeping them about the same hight as my smaller plants. Is this a bad idea when dealing with CFLs or does this sound resonable? This is my very first grow ever, it's bag seed, and I am growing entirely with CFL.

i think you should be fine.. you might get same yield in 2 smaller colas.

I think on my next grow I will try LST, but it's kinda late for that now I think.
