topping? pre veg light question!

thanks to all that reply, very much aperciated. what is topping the plant all about is this critical? After putting germinated seeds in soil do u get the light on them right away? also how long or time cycle do u keep pre veg lights on before going to veg. and how do u know when it is time for veg and flowering thank u much.

Topping will give you two top colas insted of one.
You add the light when the seedling pops above the the soil. Plants dont need light untill they have leaves to absorb it.
Pre vegg?? Thats a new one. Some people vegg their plants for 24 hours for a while. I vegg at 18 on and 6 off.
You can flower any time you want. Just remeber they will double in size. About 12-18" is good.
