Topping question

I just topped my plant, I did a heavy top. How long after does it take to recover?

Also I noticed one of my pots had roots coming out the bottom, it's hydroton / 3gal ebb and flow system

would it take 2 weeks to fully bounce back? Will post pictures shortly

U should usually wait about 2 weeks after Fimming or topping before u flower. Least thats what i was taught. Good Luck and Happy Smoking

takes a week or so to recover.

I know all the leafs when i topped were big. how ever, everything under those big leafs are tiny leafs I'm hoping my plant gets full again.

so I'm sure it needs time to recover a little, could i ever thin the plant out by removing leafs or should I just leave it.


is the root that's coming out of one of the holes on the bottom of the pot normal?

Don't worry the plant will recover quickly. Plants don't show instant recovery; they are just like anything else. they need time to recover. I found lately that, "Uncle Bens Topping techniques", in the sticky part of the advanced grow section, works great. Good Luck.

The new small new growth is a great sign. I would give them about a week before they really start going. You will notice when the plant goes.

What about the roots on the bottom of the pots.

she will come back like crazy, I would not take any more leaf off as they are the gas tanks for the plant. I have topped my plants up to week 1 of flower and gotten great results. I get 3 to 7 new king buds when I top. You can see from these two plants how well it will work on most Indica's.

Do I just topping all the new growth?

I just cut the top from the plant, thats all.
