I use one in my 5x5 tent. I took the rotating stand off it and strapped it to the side of my tent using 2 ratchet pulling lines, like I use with my lights

Ive got an ionizer that was given to me i use in this exact manner. Im going to switch it to two 36+" tall standing towers that oscillate to get the soil level and canopy evenly. But it is working amazingly as it stands

I was thinking about getting one too but idk how you guys fit all this stuff inside a tent. I got two lights, fan and filter and ceiling looks congested.

I have a 42 inch lasko hanging on its side by two rope rachets in my 4x4. I keep it just above the canopy, so the entire canopy gets a nice light breeze, then the air hits the opposite side of the tent and blasts down below. Creates the best circulation of any fan I've used. I do keep an oscillating fan running under the canopy as well.
I had a tower fan mounted horizontally up top and left it on osolate. Workd really good. But the fan packed it in after a few years.
for a short time I had a 4” inline fan smack in the middle of the tent on a mile crate. Shooting stright up. Is did a great job making turbulent air. Pretty much every leaf was wiggling. But my tent is too small to give up that kinda room. One day if I get more space that’s what I’ll go back too.
for now I have 2 high CFM AC axial muffin fans with a speed control knob. They rip it up in a 3x3. I only run them at half speed

Looks great. If you wanted to get real crazy, you could put another one on the opposite side below the canopy, for some circular type airflow.

Heck, that's exactly what I was thinking as I was typing it ("hmm.. maybe I should try this myself.."). Haha. Right now below the canopy of my 4x4 I have a little vortex going with 4 small fans, which aim up, and at a, angle, so the air sort of spins around the perimeter and up thru the canopy.

Why would you put a fan in the top of your tent and have it blowing down? Thats blowing hot air back down...

I have 3 6" clip on fans in the top of my 4x8
They all point at a carbon filter.
Works wonderfully. I am running a 30 or 50 pint dehu. Puts off a lot of heat. A 560W LED and another 150W QB. And my highest temps are 81⁰F in my 4x8.
Fan placement really helps when done properly. There are dead zones in tents where air just won't even blow out of the fan lol. 6" fans are almost worthless. 8" and up is my recommendation

Sometimes growers want that extra heat at canopy level. Heck, I'd be pretty happy myself to have an extra 5 degrees in my tent this month.
