Tracking Devices...Anyone got any knowledge?

they don't go to your house to just knock down the door to find nothing to make themselves look like idiots.
I dont get it, all i ask is someone with knowledge you guys have assumptions and im saying this for maybe the 100th time the feds can get whatever info from your hydro guy that wouldn't help them what are they going to do next? Yes intercept the mail order which they own.

I hear ya dude, but why would they do that? There are much easier and cheaper ways than putting gps epuipment in the product.

Tracking a growlight would more likely get them sued than a arrest to brag on. All kinds of home gardners use lights, nutes etc.
If they think you're on the grow....They'll come knocking. They dont need to "know". They just need to suspect and have a bit of something to attain a warrant.
If they want to see where a light is shipped to....UPS or the delivery service has all the info. Records from a shop can be destroyed by a shop owner....But UPS/Fed-Ex/USPS WILL give the info leo requests.
But....The technology to track is everywhere. Credit cards, cellphones, On-Star or car security. It can be done easily. Its just not practical.
Are we agreeing or disagreeing here? I think we're saying the same thing.

look, im not trying to rule out the possibility that there's not going to be tracking devices in the equipment that i get and where i grow it with. I just want to know just incase there is a tracking device even the size of a penny how can it be blocked or found or what it need to keep running such as battery life. I didn't ask what are possibility of shit like this ending up in your grow equipment like ballast which if you open up voids the warranty. Sorry guys but i don't rule out the possibility, i make sure things go my way.

@BSI ok i already told you, you have to be a idiot to send grow shit to where you grow which you obviously do. Me? i send shit to a adress where then i take to my grow area which is within 1-500 miles away, i don't know take a guess just how you like to do it.
OK...Go get yourself some lead blankets(like they have in X-ray rooms) and cover everything you buy with the blankets and you will be ok, or submerse everything in water first.

and i did ask for those of you that have knowledge but yet you still keep posting BSI. And i said this in the beginning of the thread, this would be a nice subject for a FAQ for those of us that just joined RIU would like to know, not a tiny bit pee brain like you. =)
I personally have nothing to worry about. When I bought seeds, I had them shipped to my house and used my credit card to buy them. I did however give the place I bought them from a fake name. I know the seed bank is not going to put themself in the situation of keeping that information to tie it directly to me. If they get busted for some reason, the name they will have for me is Joe Schmoe, they are not going to keep my CC info.

rkm, thats exactly what i've been trying to say throughout this whole thread. If the feds doesn't get any info they can use from your supplier and the address then certainly they have to ask themselves another question. Sure many of us are homegrowers and its not worth it for the feds to even chase us but for those of us that want info on this, this is why i started the subject, not because 100% of the time us stoners think they won't do it because of whatever reason.
I agree....but if I were under suspicion for one reason or another. The feds could get my CC records easily. They could see the purchase, they could see everything, but when they tracked it to the seed bank, they would lose the trail. The seed bank sold the product to Joe Schmoe, not me. The seed bank does not know my real name. Therefore, it would be very difficult to tie my purchase directly to that supplier, yes, they may know what I bought, but can they get the paperwork to prove it? They would have to confiscate my computer probably, and could potentially be the only way. But, then, I would have to already be under investigation for them to even get my computer.
Then again, I am not worried. I have no reason to be under suspescion, only three people know I grow. Me, Myself and I.
