good day RIU! hopefully you guys can help me out determine if my transplant was successful.

i transplanted last night (its day 18 of my orignial 'chronic' strain. to me, it looks amazingly healthy. what i am sowrried about is the 'shock' it might go through with its new home. originally it was planted in a dixie cup. well last night, i put my two finger on the bottom of the root, tipped upside down and transplanted into a 5 gallon pot. i tried to get enough soil off of the roots as i could without destroying them or tampering with them too much.

the plant is under a flourescent light. 40wats each bulb. about 3 inches away from plant. the roots were very visible upon transplant and we not curled at all! stuck straight down and covered the whole bottom of dixie cup.

when do i know if the plant goes in shock?
what can i do to help prevent it from going into shock?
and last but not least, give me your opinion on how good or bad this plant looks bc it is my first time growing :)

thanks RIU

it looks exellent and stop worrying so much give it a week and you will see it fully recovered and growing as normal.
a poor transplanting job can take a week or more to recover and start growing again but it wont die.
a good transplant usually takes 2-3 days to recover and start growing again.
(dont worry about whats not happened yet or look for problems that are not there).
it will be absouloutely fine.
so stop stressing and chill.
luda's luck is watching you .

Agreed. Sounds like you did fine :)

Mine had a root explosion in the new pot and I had to transplant it again within two weeks. Everything under the first inch of soil was a mass of roots. I basically had to stick it in the soil like a cork. It transplanted fine that time too :)
