i have a plant that is 6 weeks into flowering, of a projected 10-12 week period.. The plant is in a 5 gallon depot bucket, the medium has become terrible for drainage. Bottom line i have a few issues happening due to this, i feel i have lockout, and alot of deficincies all of a sudden. The plant has not changed in over a week. I want to transplant it in better stuff. recommendations? All my other plants drain properly,, this one has 50% soil, 25%vermiculite 25% pearllite. BUt when i water it it collects at the top for a while, even when slow watering. First hand advice would be greatly appreciated. thank you

needs oxygen imsure..do you have any airation material in this soil mix? are you asking how to transplant her into a bigger pot?

you will get alittle trans shock. but if i were you i would do a 50%perlite and 50% soiless soil mixure about move it into something just alittle bit bigger and give the chance for the roots to get some air and spread. either way you are looking at some shock time.

another option is to cut the bottom of the bucket off and put it into another 5 gallong bucket with this mixture...... hoping the tap root will shoot down into the new medium

what do you mean by airation material.. if i leave it in the 5 gallon bucket how can i get teh medium to drain proper , waht started all this was rust spots on my leaves. Only some of them mid level, and one on the bottom turned pale yellow and fell off, besides that the plant is flowering nicely i think. it takes the water a good bit to sink into the medium.

if nothing is wrong then i misunderstood..... i thought you were having issues "The plant is in a 5 gallon depot bucket, the medium has become terrible for drainage. Bottom line i have a few issues happening due to this, i feel i have lockout, and alot of deficincies all of a sudden

aeration material would be perlite, vermiculite, hydroton, gravel, or anything that will get more air into your substrate. air is almost more important then soil is to growing.... thats why you can grow roots in mid air (aero-mist systems)
