Transplant from dirt to hydroponic medium?

I would recomend to deff rince the dirt away because that will damage your stuff but you might be abel to change the soil grow into soil hydro but I'm not 100% if that would be any good

ah whatever, i'll see if it works, but it's ok to plant it directly into the pellets right? or do i need to put it into like rockwool? sry fo so many Q's but im new to hydro.:peace:

yes it can be done I have done it sucessfully just take your time and carefully wash all the soil from the roots with properly ph'd water as far as how to plant them I am not a fan of rocwool so I say just use the rocks

I did that once. I washed all the dirt off the roots and transplanted in to clay pellets then into an ebb and flow system. I'm sure it stresed the plants but I was able to harvest. It took some extra time but I learned alot.

cool, as soon my local hydro store is open tomorrow, im gunna get some net pots, clay pellets, and ph tester, i'm also gunna need an air pump and air stone. is it ok to use my old 20gal fish tank so long as its light tight?
i'll update u guys tomorrow.:peace:

yes you could use the fish tank but I would say just spend the 5 bucks and buy a rubbermaid, otherwise you are going to have to paint or the fish tank or wrap it in alot of duct tape to keep the light out, and the rubbermaid comes with a top that fits it just cut he holes in the top and go .........

ok guys and girls here's my top cover design to fit over the top of the tank, it's made of 1/2 inch plywood, the holes are for 6" net pots, there are five total. :peace:
