Transplanted clones from Soil to DWC, day 3, need help! Underwatered? Overwatered?

I transplanted 6 purple arrow clones, and 2 bubble gums into a DWC system. I took away almost all the dirt by washing it off, then I coiled the roots around the hydroton, and piled more hydroton on top of them, just like I had successfully done before.

I can't find any pictures, and can't remember how long it took for my last transplant, but these ones aren't looking very good at all. The humidities very low this time around, along with I think I may have had the water level a little higher on the last transplant. Let me know how these are doing though, I was thinking they look UNDER-watered, but Idk if they are actually overwatered, I'm not a soil guy, and usually I NEVER have to worry about that in Hydro.

When i do a Soil to hydro I use a Solo cup, just cover the cups top where you wont forget and water em ive done tht.
Pull some roots from the bottom of cup to reach the H2o,It takes a few days to adapt.
Then your off and running.
Yours look ok and should take off soon!

I don't really understand what you're talking about, any pictures at all? Do you mean I should cover them with a solo cup? Or water them everyday with a solo cup? Cause I'm still wondering if I am over-watering/under-watering.

Or with the solo cups do you mean actually bury the clone in the hydroton with the solo cup?

Thanks for your help!

I think he's just making sure the roots have reached the water/solution.

After you get roots at the bottom of Solo, place in a mesh pot and pull some roots thru,Thats just my method, for soil to hydro.
I use a drip ring as mine has a Coco lid, about 10" deep.
For you id just water 2 times a day.And yes i bury alittle, the Solo.

Oh okay, I think I understand now.

So this is day 3 since transplanting, do you think judging by how they look right now they'll survive? Cause I'm worrying quite a bit. I don't really remember what I did/didn't do last time I transplanted, but 3/3 of the last ones worked out, so hopefully all of these ones do.

Do they usually survive these types of transplants? And do they normally look kinda crappy like this for a little bit? Will they probably turn around soon?

Thanks!

I never see any change,Except when the roots hit the nutes for a few days, then they take OFF.

So my plants still have yet to see new growth, and they are looking less good everyday.

How do I know I don't have dead plants just chilling in a DWC setup, somehow keeping water in them?

Its been a week and they've done nothing but regress, should I expect them to come back? Is there anything I can do? Or am I just going to have to keep waiting?

I've ripped a plant straight out of a soil pot and threw it into a DWC setup before. I used a product called NoShock by Advanced Nutrients as a spray/in the water. Don't give your plants a ton of nutes while transplanting, and make sure the light isn't too intense and the temps don't fluctuate too much. Other than that, you can't "over-water" when you have oxygen being pumped into your nutrient solution via airstones.

I'd run RO water @ 6.0 ph. 5-10ml/gal of Noshock and maybe 300-350ppm of whatever nutrients you normally use. I'm guessing you just shocked the shit out of them when you transplanted. You can bring your water all the way up to the bottom of the netpot as long as it has plenty of Oxygen being pumped in.

If they were dead, the leaves would droop completely and all of the "newer" growth would become very limp. Even so, that doesn't always mean it is dead. They will bounce back with the right care. Sometimes jacking with them too much is the problem.

Yeah I think they were shocked pretty severely. The water is PPM'd at 420 (pure coincidence after pouring in a concentrate of nutrients, it came out to 420, how ridiculous...lol) for most of them. The water is not RO, its my garden hose water, but its 120 ppm, and I've never had issues with it lol. I have in Grow-Micro-Bloom pH Perfect by Advanced Nutrients, along with some hormex (which I was told is supposed to be just like superthrive).

The newest growth seems fairly normal, a little unhealthy, but nothing I'd really worry about. Most of the older growth however isn't looking great.
