Transplanted to coco coir....

I transplanted from soil to coco coir last night. I went to check on them and the tips are starting to turn brown similar to that of nute burn. What do you think is causing this? I did pour cold water on them because i had to transplant outside. Possibly this is PH shock or the cold water that is causing this?

One thing that it could be is residual salt buildup in the coco. Since coconuts are processes on islands in the middle of the ocean, they use saltwater to wash and process. Higher quality coco mixes will do multiple fresh rinses to remove the salts, but if you don't give the stuff a good soaking before potting up with it, you can get nute lock-up and salt burns as the root tips hit the harsh coco.
It could also be due to pH fluctuation, but normally a drastic pH swing will manifest as blotches of dead tissue on the leaves. It sounds like you may have a problem with salt buildup in the medium, since it's just the tips being affected. Check out the coco grower's thread for more info.

this salt buildup will affect plants immediately then? should i water double amount and remove the run off? or just continue as normal?

im starting to get light green on all of my plants except for the one that is in soil. this sounds like nitrogen deficiency maybe because of a ph fluctuation is causing nute lockout? does this sound about right?

Ok so lots of people are saying to have coco coir dry out before re watering? it has already been over a week and it is still damp. with the coco being wet so long i cant feed as much as i would like to. how do you guys get about doing this? i just picked up grandma enggys h-2....humic acid. i also picked up botanicare's cal-mag. do you use as directed on back of bottle?
i cant really do the water nute water nute....or water water nute water water nute...how do i get them the required amounts of nutrients? so much time goes by before i need to water again.https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/163510-coco-growers-unite-77.html
