Planted germinated seed (from wet paper towel in bag for 3 days) in red solo cup (poked 2 holes at bottom of cup for drainage) filled with soil. Placed under one 26W cfl with reflector about 2-3 inches above cup. Watered with Ozarka water until runoff came out of cup.

Left light on overnight and there was a sprout by morning.

Watered in the morning. Placed in trash can that we painted flat white inside. Left lid off trash can with the same one 26W light w/ reflector.

Plant is looking great. Finished trash can assembly. cut 5 holes in the lid, one in the middle and four on the sides to equally distribute the light. Threaded the light cords through the holes with the single reflector light in the middle slightly raised above the other 4. The two 15W bulbs are opposite each other as are the other two 26W bulbs. The 5 lights are hanging down through the top of the trash can with the lid on. We cut a 'peep hole' about 2 3/4" wide x 1 1/4" high to look into the grow chamber. Again, the center light is about 2-3 inches above the cup with the other 4 hanging slightly below it equally. We initially had all 5 lights on and the thermometer inside the chamber shot up into the upper 80s-lower 90s. So we turned off the two 26W bulbs and cut a 'heat vent' at the top (triangular shape 6" wide x 3 1/2" tall =A 10.5 square inches). Over night we left the two 15W bulbs along with the center 26W light w/ reflector on and cracked the top lid of the trash can by wedging a roll of duct tape between the lid and then trash can. The temperature dropped and stabilized at around 80-82.

Watered in the morning, she held up great through the night despite the heat. The temp was around 82. Unwedged the roll of duct tape and closed the lid completely. Took pics of the set up:
Still only have the 15W bulbs with the center 26W w/ reflector bulb on. Ordered a small fan from amazon today which we plan on attaching at the base of the trash can to feed cool air into the chamber and force the hot air out the top.
