Travelling+ Growing

hey all, i am thinking about growing a couple of plants but have a few problems. i really am in the uninitiated on the growing scene so i don't know where else to turn.

here are the problems:

i travel from eastern to western canada and back every 5-6 months. so part of the problem is that i need my gear to be able to travel. whether its hydroponic or whatever, it would need to be tiny as my car can't handle much more luggage on my trips.

also, how many grow cycles do you think i could squeeze into those 5 month times where i'm settled down and able to have everything set up. i'd only be able to have one or two plants going at a time.

Wow I hope you have a big truck. I just dont see it feesable. It takes so many things to grow so I just dont see having room for everything. Unless you are talking about a super small garden. Good luck!

i'm not thinking travelling the country with a live plant or anything stupid-risky like that.

just growing one or two plants for 5 months at a time, stripping everything down when i don't have time to go for another harvest, and travelling back accross the country with whatever left over mj i got left from my previous growing efforts.

definitely talking closet-sized garden here, widow. two plants tops.

i don't have a permanent residence - i need to move every 6 months from the calgary area back to around ottawa .

so yeah,hopefully clearer questions:

a) want to know if it's even feasible to consider travelling with growing gear (not the plant, or soil, maybe not fertilizer), and if so how much space i should need to set aside for the stuff.

b) in 5 months, how many harvests do you think i can get? (want to know if it's worth the hassle, really. but buying blows)

YES very feesible..

If you have never grown before I would recommend a soil grow in 3 gallon buckets... and use CFL's for lighting...

Try a simple grow with 3 plants, 3 containers and 8 - 150 watt CFL bulbs..
Heat will not be an issue and you can still harvest 4-10 ounces in 80-100 days... this will depend on the strain you choose and the health of your plants...

AND the only items you will have to transport will be empty containers and a few small light bulbs..

5 mos will be plenty of time. The biggest thing would be the lights. You could probably get one of those 250watt hps lights. The entire hood and ballast are like 1 sq foot.
