so my 1st grow was good, (see my journal) 2nd a disaster anything that could happen did. i had 4 1000watts and 42 plants i got 2 lbs ?????? ya it sucked :) so 1st grow was alll organic in roots soiless mixture. 2nd grow i used coco instead of roots. used same nutes. but on second grow i didnt have alot of time for them so somehow i got spidermites first ok no no biggie right? no i had mites from hell nothing i tried would keep them away neem, pyrithum, aza maz, mighty wash. nothing orgainc or omri rated worked. so i had to use a chemical to kill them i used spider mite knock out....and killed most of the plants also. So then i notice they are not growing??? so i look at the roots and poof i have root aphids...... WTF??? ok again tried to go omri and pesticide free ordered expensive stuff botaniguard. killed adults but somehow 5 days later found more aphids. so i used aza max, nope didnt kill em all they came back. i used go gnats. i used liquid pyrithrim nope came back. finially bought bonide (best shit ever) but u cant use if your in flower. obviously theese girls are going down as a experiment in bug removal mind you i am verry OCD about my girls so none of theese are infested id see like 1 or 2 spots on a leaf cut the limb off or if i seen on multipal branches i threw away plants. and the aphids i just found em way to late and id only see them like a few per plant but they killed the roots so they never grew up they were all flushed for 2 weeks with just purplemaxx and averaged 1 oz per plant dry.

So just started my new grow....... #3 usuing roots organics soiless mixture but im not going organic this time. gonna see if there is a difference in yeild quality etc. so im starting out with no bugs have all girls treated to make sure. i have again 10x10 tent 4 1000watt hps on 17/7 17 on 7 off. So here are my 1st problems i got nute lockout from switching them from organics to non organic nutes. so had to do a flush. then i had ph issues i didnt know that with non organic nutes you need to ph daily!!! organics hold the ph great! Now its tru=ying to see how much of what to give them. the #s on the bottles sre so different, and can i use some of my organics as additives with the floranova? its all made by general hydrophonics? and if you go by their booklet it says use 4ml per gal and the bottle says 2.5ml per gal so did i burn em??? ok so now this has all happened in past 2 weeks. So now i reduced the nutes to 50% added water to my resivoir wow what a difference they look beautifull and green and have grown about a inch a day sense ive had this worked out the last few days. :) WOO HOO will add

Good Luck, Advice: COCO DTW, H&G line + Great White (Toss in a couple NO Pest strips til 2nd week of flower) Supplement with compost tea. Temp. Humidity & circulation must be handled as most issues are from there

definatly temps always 70-78 and humidity 50% or less have fresh air coming in and pulling through lights to cool them into charcoal filter. have 2 osculating fans for air movement.

temps and air sounds good, pest come in on plants or you. It is a battle for every grower, the main thing is you have to get to know each plant, if you see something out of wac you can get right on it and catch it before. You need to enter flowering with zero issues, so if you need to use something that is gonna work do it during veg. If you do this for a living you have to protect your income anyway you can. I have used Forbid and will again if needed, it is a once and done 2 month residual. I also burn sulfur, but that could be a problem if you are in your house. Between grows nuke the room. Don't know why I am rambleing Prolly telling you shit you already know. My outdoor pesticide/fungicide is compost tea, shit kills caterpillars who would have thunk it? (Think about CO2, if done right, no compare you will have to spend much more time with them as they grow a few inches when you turn your back, if not done right its a waste of dough) Its an adventure for sure. On final flushing: will never do it again, you are starving the plant when it needs nute's most. Side by side, flush vs no flush, the flushed plant was 16% and the not flushed was 18%. Taste zero diff, ash white as snow.
That's just me and after 35 years of growing something I have found a system that works for me, not for all.
