Wouldnt rain knock the trichomes off of buds thus lowering the potency? Im wondering because ive never seen a really frosty outdoor bud just some with afew specks of trichome.

Ah dude, some of the most potent marijuana is grown outside. Most powerful lighting source in the world fueling it's energy.

I've never actually heard of buds loosing trichomes because of rain....

Some of the most potent bud I've smoked was grown outside... and most people I know will always take well outdoor grown bud over indoors.

me and you, we live in the same state...

One of my old dealers/growers showed me his plant once.. it was so big outside that he couldn't get both of his hands around the base stem of the plant, it was a tree trunk pretty much.

Well it was the dankest bud I had ever smoked literally, so there's plenty in our state, you just need to find the right people :weed:

nobody rivals cali! haha nah.. but yah outdoor weed isnt as good as indoor weed. higher yields yes.. but theres something about the perfection of the indoor environment that makes the plants stickier lol.

and sence when do people prefer outdoor over indoor? you must mean organic which can be grown indoors.

Im beginning to think outdoor does get better quality Mj the main problem with most of it in the states though is few people go through to kill off the males.

I find it hard to believe that outdoor can be better than indoor. Assuming you take the same 2 strains and the same nutes, grow one outside and one inside. If you have the perfect indoor conditions, there is no way that the outdoor will be more potenent IMO

Believe it, mother nature most of the time takes care of all things with easy giving your plant to optimum condition to succeed in every way.

...indoors bud is better considering one can control temps, co2 levels, pest, watering, humidity, wind (your GOD!)....all of which are factors when growing superior buds....but, I also believe that no light source can compare to the sun.

...wonder what a greenhouse grow would be like? Greenhouse verses indoors?...

IMHO

Outdoor is for quantity, and indoor quality.. However I don't where there is optimal growing conditions, such as SoCal

Also, I don't know where you from.. But from 15 - 18 when I bought my weed I almost always had outdoor, and only got seeds in it twice.. I guess people put more effort into it around here..

With enough sunlight and the correct amount of fertilizers, outdoor bud dominates indoors. There's absolutely no light source that can amount to the sun. This is assuming that nothing happens to the outdoor bud(make sure bugs dont eat it etc, heat stress etc), if you grow a strain that works with your areas climate and you keep all bugs off and make sure it has plenty of nutes and root room, the outdoor weed will always win.

the trigs can be knocked off but after a night they replenish....its the theroy that trigs protect the plant from the sun......

So if I were to scrape the trichomes off my plants from time to time to make a little hash to enjoy while I wait, it wouldnt fuck up the plants?

Sounds interesting... though I've never heard of that...... If that was the case people would never need to harvest and they could just continually scrape trichs off the buds..
