trichomes - before /after cure

curing a nl#5 - my 1st inside grow
she was not a fast finisher, let her go in 12/12 for 11 weeks - even then was mostly clear, there was maybe a few percent amber
i was aiming for more head than body, so called this 'good enough'
so 2 weeks or so of cure, look over the trics again under the loop, not so clear any more, a good 50% of colored trics, many have turned a 'golden yellow', which is nice to look at
the bud is pure thunder, sampled once, vaped 1/10 gram or so and that was too much
so, does anyone check the cured trics? i don't seem to see much in the way of reports on this

i have checked mine and noticed they turn a different amber tinge, never really got yellow, maybe something close to that though

I'd like to see your trich pics (haha). It makes sense the color may change a pic afterwards, + rep for the post/idea to ask. Will be chopping down a couple of buds today. Mine are also mostly cloudly at this point, a few amber colored heads on the trich tips. Looking forward to a pic or two. Tried with my scope and camera; couldn't get that focus right.

but tomorrow, i will get them by god, a lot of golden yellow trics - damn they are nice to look at

not sure when the 1st clear appeared exactly, this was under 12/12 for 11 weeks, 'supposed' to be 8 week, but those grower times are pretty optimistic
it ambered excruciatingly slow, watched the trics for at least a month

funny you should ask that, just managed to get some better pictures

so here's before, this was my last tric picture before harvest, lots of clear frosty with some of the amber in the center, this was the most amber example, much of the other were clear, or maybe 'frosty cloudy'

now the after, similar lighting conditions, the bulk are light yellow, there are some golden yellow slight left of center, may have to have lean it a bit to see

Judging the 1st pic (really good close up IMO for a cam+scope shot), I would say wait another week or two. The second pic, I can barely just 100% but I advise to give more time for the amber heads to kick in. I wish I would have waited a tad bid longer (a week). Mine still had mostly cloudy (70%) some amber (30%) at 9 weeks when chopped.

Good thread growone v interesting, i am getting a little tired of waiting for my three girls. This was my first grow so didn't use all the fancy boosters and addatives. So as soon as the trichs go a little amber am chopping em and getting a super grow on.

thanks for the advice, i'm afraid she's already been harvested
the 1st tric picture you see show what the trics looked right before harvest, the trics in the other picture were with the same bud, but after curing for 2 weeks - the clear trichs became yellow trichs - no one has posted cured trich pictures that i could find, so i posted mine

thanks craig, sounds real close to what i did - i did get a more 'head' effect from my early picking, but that is what i was looking for
