Trichomes grow back?

Could have sworn I read or heard somewhere they grow back. I had torrential downpours with high winds most of the last week and now alot of the trichome stems are headless. Do they grow back and how long does it usually take? Looks like nice weather for a couple weeks so I'm in the clear after a soggy crap month.

it should grow new ones but the damaged ones wont grow back.

Is that why I'm seeing a 3 way split of clear, milky and amber? It's confusing whether to harvest or not.

the trichomes on the fan leaves will turn amber way before the ones on the buds themselves. I don't really use trichome color to determine when to cut, I look for receding pistils, plump/swollen calyxes, etc.

I was going by the trics on the calyxes, the plants I'm deciding on harvest all the pistils receded but some are plump and some plants are compact small calyxes. I posted pics on another thread in this outdoor forum after this thread.

Go by trichs, but also go by majority amber pistils and swollen calyx. It's October 7th, so any crop in the northern hemisphere is entering the harvest window, regardless.

I have been gardening my whole life, so my eye knows when crops are ripe and ready for harvest. But I still depend on the plant to show me visually.

Might have powdery mildew. It looks like a headless trichome under microscope..
