Trichomes Question x 3

I got a scope and due to the grow room setup I cannot get close enought to the plants in a safe manner to see in the scope. So I am forced to pinch off a small portion to scope it.

what would be the best place to take the pinch from with out hurting the plant?

Also how fast does the color change from clear to cloudy to amber?

and how often do I check them?

yes, taking a sample off the plant is fine. Pick a leaf that has the most trichomes and place it on a flat surface without damaging it.

Oh and the trichomes will change throughout the final weeks of flowering. Once you're in week 6, I would start checking the trichs. It is in these final weeks that they develope a mushroom head holding the 'oh so precious' THC that we all desire.

Yeah mushroom heads are there and the color is starting to go cloudy.

I would start checking them every day untill you are satisfied with the color of the trichs
