tricombs 50/50 color change. Hairs still not red. OK to harvest?

As long as trics are 50/50 amber and milky I would give her the chop. Make sure you flush properly before doing so. The pistils usually darken up during drying and curing.

The hairs will turn red regardless of when you cut it down. The only reason they turn red in the first place is because they are dying. You need to harvest by looking at the trichs, and from what you are saying, I'd cut it down. Lucky you!!

Cut it down now, leave it any longer and you'll be losing out. Forget the pistills, as far as maturity, they mean nothing.

its midseed that looks dank now! my only magnification is the radioshack 60x-100x but it sucks because you have to jam it up a nug just to barley see anything. do people sometimes harvest before hairs have turned then on a healthy grow or will they always turn by the proper harvest time?

time to bring in the axe an to do some lumbering:)
but the pistills still play a role along with trich checks.

sorry "dudes" but chopping is the biggest decision of the grow so i like to make sure the information is correct. is it common then for pro grows to be chopped when pistils are not red because they will turn later?

Duuuuuuuuuuh!!!

The hairs don't matter when it comes to harvesting... It's the trichs that matter.

I dare you to harvest the plant that you have been talking about after the hairs have turned red on it. Your specific plant will most likely pass the window of opportunity, thus deminishing the THC, all because you wanted the "hairs" to be red before harvest. Wait it out and see what happens.

I guess if you haven't gotten it by now, you probably won't ever get it.
You joined in April and ganjman joined in June and this guy is supposed to just take you two's word for it? No need to shit on the guy for being careful, he is right is saying it is the most important part of the grow! I thought he may be chopping early by his first post and you guys are telling him to run and grab the axe, chill.

Grow space knows his shit and even he contradicted your info.

I guess you're right. It doesn't really matter though. I was just posting information that was given to me from professional growers, on this site. The only way to know for sure is to just wait it out and see. If he thinks he can go until his hairs turn red and his trichs stay the same, then more power to him. All plants are different anyway. I really think he should harvest though, because the hairs will turn red anyway after being chopped down, hence they are dying.

The reason I wrote Duuuuuuuh is because he asked the same question 2 times after he got answers. I wasn't trying to be tough or mean or anything.

He will get there. The more opinions he gets the better, he is just going to do what he wants in the end anyhow. Asking again is not an insult to those who have already given their opinion. Peace.

Exactly. Why are you guys fighting over this??? From personal experience if a person ignores any type of advice (not even acknowledging that someone posted above him) then he in the end will do what he wants. Then he'll probably come back here asking why he doesnt get high :hump: Just chill out and bongsmilie so you can be :eyesmoke:
