trim bud leaves while its still growing?

ive seen many pictures of peoples plants that are still growing but dont have many leaves on it. there are alot of leave growing around my buds and i was wondering if i trimmed them off would that make the buds bigger? and if i leave them on wont they get infused when the buds grow bigger? i just dont want really leafy buds ya know?:leaf:

I'd say its a bad idea, those leaves give energy to you plants and especially the nugget production. they will die off. just my opinion bro.

yeah man your leafs are like solar panels for your buds.the more leafs the healthier and bigger your buds will be.just let it all happen the way it..just my 2 cents

i think the pictures you're seeing are of people trimming their plants right before they cut them down for harvest to dry, they just haven't cut the whole plant down yet.

I always wondered about those pictures I see floating around here. Makes sense that they are trimmed right before harvest.

Any leaves not directly servicing flowering will be discarded (yellow and die) by the plant as it directs all resources to the flowers. The only leaves you should have remaining at maturity are in the colas or around popcorn buds. No need to cut anything off until trich color says you're ready to harvest.

I don't cut anything off at harvest except the colas until I'm ready for the dreaded trim chore. I do that on a screen over a sheet of glass to capture all those lovely crystals dislodged by handling and scissors. .
