Trimming advice

You did alright. I let the plants sit for about a day then chop the fan leaves off then after a few days I trim the buds then jar them and cure them. When the nugs are drier, it makes it a lot easier to trim the buds tighter so they look awesome. You can still do that too since you just chopped it.

EDIT: Just to answer your question, you trimmed the buds enough. Just do a little bit more trimming when the buds are drier so it's easier for you.

You did good. If it's for you you can trim any way you want. I find it's easyer to trim as much as I can befor dry. Scissors don't gun up as much. It dose dry faster. Then after dry I nug it and give it a once over. Then jar. Cure can be done in a week but 2 is better. But I will cure till it's gone. Good cured bud is like a fine wine. Older the better. Just keep in mind once you get down to 55% humidity in your buds cure stops.

Alright thanks for the info. It was my first time, and was bit nervous when harvesting last night. Wanted to do the best job I could. I will see how it is after it is done drying, and see if it needs any more trimming. I have got jars all ready to go for the curing process. I will take the smallest bud after dry for a sample toke :D Then let it cure for as long as I can before it's all gone.

Don't forget in cure you do need to shake them up the keep them from clumping up. This will break off alot of the loose ends. So not a full trim is needed. And I save that and roll with it's pre grinded as far as I care. Got 5 zips so far. Can't smoke it fast enough. So when people ask for free stuff that is what they get now.

I'm trying to trim and cure my first big crop, so I am learning also and I would appreciate some help! What do you mean by "shaking it up"? I have been taking it out of the jars and putting it back in to make sure it gets evenly cured, or so I thought. What are you doing that's different?

When first cure the buds stick together and clump. Easiest way with large amounts is tilt your jar on it's side and rotate fast. Breaks everything loose. Then put it back and open. It helps with rounding things out like a rock tumbler.
