trimming buds for better yield

hi guys,

ive read on a few forum that people give their buds a "haircut" to increase the amount of light getting to them in the later stages of flowering..

can someone clarify if this is the large fan leaves on the plant or the little leaves that are popping out between the hairs..

cheers...

Nah leafs are needed for Photosynthesis...u can trim the leafs that get no light (usually the ones in the bottom)

First off ... NOBODY trims their buds to get a better yield. Are you talking about pruning the plant?

I think he means the leafs that stick out of the buds...if wich is the case trimming won´t help to get a better yield it will on the other hand reduce the plants ability to "breath"....

Ok well fair enough if NOBODY trims their buds...

but ive seen pictures of people doing it, and it was commented that this will "stress" the plants into giving more thc....

i was unsure of the method, that's why i brough it up..

but in fairness, you cant justify a comment a like "NOBODY does that" just because one of you hasnt done it....

its like the hanging your buds upside down to dry..... some people say it makes no difference whatsoever after the plant has been chopped....and somepeople swear by it....

i guess ill leave my plants alone so!

phox the reason why I was told to hang buds upside down to dry is for sheer easiness. it is easier to tie them up by the stalks as opposed to the buds.
