Trimming plant during 3rd week of flowering?

I have 4 plants under a 400w MH bulb. My plants are around 4' tall and the lower branches and leaf are not getting much of the light. Is it safe to trim then off now? 3rd week of flowering. I heard it was good so the plant can focus more on the bud growth?

Yeah u can trim it now.It will focus on the main cola...Some people will tell you no but i would do it.Actually I do it..

Thanks for the reply. How much should I trim? All my plants are at least 4 - 5 feet tall and under a 400w MH.

you should trim the bottom 1/3 of the plant,dont throw these away either,use them for clones for the next harvest.and if your in budding you should switch to a hps.you can bud with a mh but you get better results with the hps.if any thing add some 2700k cfls just to balance out the light spectrum.

Yeah u should trim the bottom 1/3 so it can focus on the main colas growth.
