Trimming Question

Working on harvesting my first plant and have a trimming question or two. First how much time do you all spend working on getting rid of the small sugar leaves? I have been at this for several hours and have only done about 1/3 of the plant. Even though I spent that much time my final product still contains a lot of them (See photos). Second does anyone have any tricks to keep the trimmer from getting sticky? I am having to clean mine every few minutes as they are gumming up with resins. IMG_0608[1].jpgIMG_0607[1].jpg

First Congrats on the harvest.
Dont feel bad man trimming to me is the moost tedious part of growing, Ur buds jus look a lil airy so there are alot of leaves, it also look like u may have harvested a lil early, were u able to check the triches to determine if they were finished? And as far as the resin on the trimmers... let that shit build and build and build then grab a bowl pipe or bong, pack it and add that resin to the top and see what i mean.

Thanks for the quick replies. She was at 96 days flower and there were only about 3% amber so yeah I could have waited a bit longer. This was just a bag seed that I grew to get the basics down and my good stuff (Blue Mystic) is in day 40 of flower. I really needed the space in my flower tent to give them room to expand and get more light.

Scratch that bad math on my part. 86 days in flower. This girl broke ground back in December and was put into flower on 20 Feb. I have only done a 1/3 of the plant so far and will give it some more time to see if the remaining buds get a bit fuller.

oh the joys of trimming the plants. the best part of this is you will get used to the sticky, but it never gos away.lol if sticky trimmers are the only issue's you have then your life is good.. i just harvested my 5 girls from seed and there hanging in my new screen drying rack. i took my light down and turned all fans off but one and exhaust fans with my cana scents .. hung my drying rack on my light rail so no stagnate air and complete dry all the way though.. it took 4 people 8 hours split between 2 days to cut and trim the girls so just look at it as the LABOR OF LOVE...final 038.jpgfinal 039.jpgfinal 040.jpgfinal 041.jpgfinal 042.jpg strains starting from top to bottom, blue dream, super lemon haze .bubble gummer x4, cheese candy and final kush ryder.. the racks are 2ft circles. final weight tbd.....

Trimming sucks! But, after all the time you spend catering to your ladies what's another couple hours to trim them up pretty? I spend about 2-3 hours per plant at harvest time. And fiskas are the way to go.
