Cool stuff indeed. I always wanted to grow some peruvian torch cactus and some boomers (psilocybe mexicana to be exact, had 2g of some big ones once and it was like 5g of normal cubes) .

tricho is such a wonderful cactus to take care of. they like to pup when you top them or bury up the side a bit. i have so many bridgesii that i love so dearly

Well I would say to practice with cubensis only and probably BRF tek which you can google with lots of equivalent results from various places. You may get bored with that tek in which case you can move onto bulk or exotic substrates and that isn't something I know all that much about in tubs but birdseed spawn patties are something I have been goofing with as I use up a liquid culture of mycelium.

The basic fruiting chamber for spawn cakes of any sort is a shotgun fruiting chambfloor SGFC for short. Bulk grows usually use a more specific grow tub or monotub rather. If you go with cyanescens varieties you must use manure or compost.

In any case I would strongly advise you to not eat any amount of vermiculite! It'll upset your stomach as much as eating sharp rock powder could. Bad trippp for sure. Ha, anywayanywayyanyway you'll see the stuff stuck to the base upon harvest time. It's a must to clean it off 100%.

It's illegal where I am to grow mushrooms but some guy that looked kinda like me but was totally not as good looking once grew some shrooms and they were bad ass. That uglier dude got like pounds from a kit online. As the story goes they were the best shrooms for PTSD; he took a print but has no idea what the species was. Everyone laughed their balls off loved them though. Whatever they were. They were 100% friendly trip and you could not take enough to have a bad trip. I am not sure if that is because the uglier dude suffocated them for 2-3 weeks before realizing he was carbon dioxiding them or what, but they grew tall and lankey and made everyone smile. NOT one person frowned.

The timer has been like this for a few weeks with the intentions to finish flower densely. This schedule is a far red to a warm white morning that adds in cool white. Which, basically doubles the light intensity and kinda saves me power. Other bells and whistles going on with extra colors still.No obvious science to that stuff other than the UVa. And there is a mirror image of the morning as the afternoon.

fyi this is a glimpse of morning time light intensity.

net yield 3oz, not as heavy yield as other mephisto strains but super duper head high. In a vaporizer, very clear high, did lots of organizing and programming. Would definitely run this strain again. Buds are noticeably lavender/silver in person. Smell is like cream cheese, sugary-berries type. Very uplifting sativa dom. Could have improved the yield by using a 7 gallon pot instead of the 5. Also, could have cared more during veg to notice it had grown into the light causing me to lose the main preflower.

56 days! thought this strain was supposed to take closer to 10 or 11 weeks to finish?

Looking good I just started growing shrooms. Would like to get some cacti buttons where do people source them?
