Trouble with my percolator

Hi everyone hope you are good. I have bought a new piece called the basil bush tar catcher and it has a percolator inside it that you can remove. (you can pull all the pieces apart), my problem is that the percolator goes brown instantly after one hit , (after its just been cleaned spotless) and after 2 or maybe three hits more the percolator is so blocked at the top that the bong wont pull anymore. However, high quality percs diffuse the smoke through so many small holes to create as many bubbles as possible. The downside to this is they have to be cleaned very often and the small holes clog up quickly. That is why they made the perc removable. Most bongs don't have removable percs

On second thought, I just googled that bong and it is not the type of perc I was thinking of. But, it's called the "tar catcher" and the description says it will remove more tar from the smoke. The tar has to go somewhere, so I guess it ends up in your bong.

Thanks for help guys yes I guess it is just meant to be like that I'll clean it later and take before and after pic, I wouldn't mind but the fact that the drag is severely reduced after 2-3 hits to almost blocked made me think there's something up. I have emailed basil bush to see what they say so will let ya know what they say. Cheers for taking time to reply and help me out
