Italy is (tiny) hands down one of the greatest countries to tour, incredible food, people history and culture. It has often been governed by maniacs, it’s part of its charm.
The whole Italian ship is about to sink so it’s no surprise Trump is allying himself to “Lyin’ Giuseppe“, in Trump’s mind despots are misunderstood victims.

That sums it up very nicely. I’ve only been to the north, few decades ago. Stopped feeling sorry for them after they picked Berlusconi, a criminal and a fraud, again and again.

But none of that would have mattered if they had made the world cup. That is what they are singing the blues about.

I have a Swiss friend, and he says north and south are like two different countries. With the north being more industrious and hard working, and the south being laid back to the point of being lazy. I've spent a few days in Naples, and it didn't seem to laid back to me.

I can’t tell the difference from personal experience (been to Milan and Verona, got too drunk and high to go on even to Venice or Pisa) but while there is truth to it - the south is more poor than the north and the more south you go the higher the crime rates - it’s above all a cliche.

Yes, my Swiss friend didn't like that his Mom was friends with Italians at all. But at least they were not southern Italians was his way of thinking. Quite a bit of prejudice against the Italians in most EU countries.

I was in the Navy when I was there, so not much interaction with normal Italians. We learned quick to go to the African bars if we didn't want to get hustled. Not just in Naples, but all the port towns on the Med.

Good images, very telling, but the most evil person and biggest liar in those pics isn’t Trump. Franky is a very sick and illminded individual.



Not from his pedophile training manual but referring to science, education, philosophy, thus as typical flipping reality, an extreme contrarian and anti-intellectual. Extremely hypocritical in that pic as he spreads the same disease that creates a breeding ground for MAGAts. The only thing that bothers him about Trump supporters is the ones that aren’t catholic and he thus holds no power over.

Have you ever read Tom Robbin's Another Roadside Attraction? It is a good read. Plucky Purcell accidentally got himself involved with the Pope's band of assassins. He ended up in Rome. A big earthquake cracked a sealed vault in the catacombs under the Vatican and a certain body was found, and Plucky was not one to leave well enough alone. . . . . . . .
